Studio Lam, Wax Up?
28 November 2017
Pillar of the Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band, Nat aka DJ Maft Sai spins vinyl records from around the world and inspires ZudRangma Records and Studio Lam, a home for creative music outside of the mainstream.
NAT, YOU STAND FOR QUALITY MUSIC, WHAT DRIVES YOUR CHOICE FOR A DJ OR A BAND TO PLAY AT STUDIO LAM?
My choices are very simple. Whoever believe in what they do & doing it well, being themselves. Genres don’t matter, it will be worth seeing & worth having.
AS A DJ, YOU PLAY VINYLS AND YOU ALSO HAVE A RECORD SHOP AND A LABEL, ZUDRANGMA, HOW CRAZY IS THAT?
It’s not really crazy once you are addicted to the music, finding more music, searching for new sounds that you have never heard of & wanting to share it to people like yourself who is looking for the same needs 🙂
IF YOU COULD BOOK ANY MUSICIANS, DEAD OR ALIVE, TO SET UP THE BAND OF YOUR DREAMS?
I would just book them & their band as they are. Like Sun Ra, Fela Kuti, Mulatu Astatke, Mahmoud Ahmed, Prince Buster All Stars, Yabby U, Googoosh, Mehrpouya, Nahid Akhtar, M. Ashraf, Bimbo Pop Sunda, Waipod Petchsuphan, Chaweewan Dumnern… and many more 555!
